The new trim level uses the powertrain from the standard GT and chassis upgrades from the more focused Speed models to create a mid-range option.
- The 2026 Bentley Continental GT lineup is expanding from the middle out with the addition of two new “S” performance models.
- The S-spec coupe and convertible split the difference between the entry GT trim and the more powerful Speed variant.
- The Conti GT S and GTC S pair a sport exhaust with the standard car’s engine and the Speed’s more athletic chassis dynamics.
Bentley is taking a leaf out of Porsche’s playbook by splitting hairs with the Continental GT lineup in the same way as the extended 911 family. For 2026, the Conti GT is expanding from the middle out with a new S trim slotted between the entry GT and the more powerful Speed models.
The new GT S coupe and convertible models are powered by the same 671-hp twin-turbocharged hybrid V-8 as the base cars, though they should sound better thanks to the addition of a sport-tuned exhaust. In addition to the more free-flowing pipes, the new S variants get the same Bentley Performance Active Chassis as the Speed and Mulliner trims. So, while straight-line performance won’t be any better than the standard Conti GT, the S-pec adopts torque vectoring, four-wheel steering, an electronic limited-slip differential, upgraded dampers, and an active anti-roll system from the more performance-oriented trims to improve the driving dynamics.
Since none of those changes will help the GT S and GTC S stand out in a crowd, Bentley added a new Blackline Specification that replaces the typical chrome look with a more ominous vibe. The setup adds tinted headlights and taillights, blackened tailpipes, and a black rear diffuser, as well as a gloss-black grille and front spoiler, and black versions of the winged B logo.
Bentley hasn’t yet announced pricing for the GT S and GTC S, but the new trim is sure to fall somewhere between the entry model and the Speed. That could put the GT S somewhere in the $275,000 range, with the GTC S landing somewhere around $300,000.
