This amazing Rolls-Royce restomod hides a silent secret

Classic Rolls updated with modern touches.

Restomods have become extremely popular in recent years. There are dozens of companies ready to refurbish your classic car and extend its life. Although you may not have heard of it before, Halcyon is one of many companies. The UK-based restoration specialist has announced that it will produce 60 of the most iconic Rolls-Royce and Bentley models of the 20th century.

This project kicks off with the Corniche Convertible, which the company showcased last weekend at the Hampton Court Palace Concours of Elegance from September 5-7. This special Corniche, called Highland Heather, is Halcyon’s first product. It all starts with a restoration that strips the car down to bare metal. Halcyon’s expert artisans are restoring the original pieces to their former glory in the next step.

All in all, this Rolls-Royce looks like it just left the factory. But it’s under the crust and hood that the magic happens. Because Halcyon has not forgotten to bring a modern power unit to the classic British among the changes it has made.

This means that the V8, which was present in many models between the 1960s and 1990s, has been replaced by a fully electric layout. Halcyon, together with its sister company Evice Technologies, has developed an 800-Volt battery pack, extending Rolls-Royce’s signature quiet demeanor for a smooth and effortless ride. Offering 500 horsepower, this setup is extremely sufficient with a range of 400 km.

Of course, it doesn’t end there. Adaptive suspension and regenerative braking with various driving modes are also included in the package. The cabin offers modern conveniences such as heated and ventilated seats, a custom audio system, and Apple CarPlay behind a hidden screen.

After showcasing the Purple Moorland painted Corniche, Halcyon will put the other cars commissioned for restoration through an extensive 12-month build process. The first deliveries are scheduled to begin towards the end of 2026. The staged sample costs $500 thousand, including the donor vehicle. Despite this, the entire stock of 60 units has been sold.
